As Mr. Douchamp is not officially released this is somewhat of a pre-sale and 4 of the remaining NGA4 figures will also be on sale. Unfortunately none of the DMS members are able to attend the show, but If you’re around please come drop by and say hi to our pseudo representatives or at least pick up a sticker!

Sometime last week (August 7th to be exact) was our official one year anniversary. On that day last year, Jeremy, Teddy and I went downtown to register darkmatters as a legitimate business. I can’t believe a whole year has gone by.
First and foremost, I would like to thank everybody whose supported us throughout year one and shown us love, I can’t thank you guys enough for that. Reflecting on year one, like any company we’ve had our ups and downs. We’ve had a fair share of speedbumps while working on our first project and our current project. We’re just getting started and we’re definitely learning from our mistakes. We’re going to continue to put in the work and grow as a company and of course bring you guys more dope stuff. Also, I don’t mean to sound like a broken record but I seriously mean it when I say this keep an eye out we’ll have some surprises in store real soon.
Thanks for your support

A few weeks ago, we had a condo warming dinner at Paddy’s new place. I spotted a “Banksy” piece while driving on Lakeshore. We took some crappy cellphone pictures, but we could barely see the piece since we shot it from across the highway in a moving car. So after leaving Paddy’s, we headed back over to find the Banksy piece for a quick photo op.

It’s been a while but here’s the first look at ENLEME’s figure; Mr. Douchamp. The form is inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain but enleme has mixed his own playful nature into it. The figure itself represents Duchamp’s ideologies of fringe art, which enleme ironically calls “art of an anti-art form”.
“Clearly, I know making a toy that depicts an actual form of a human with a urinal shape as its head, it is really going against what Duchamp stands for in his “readymade” work. But making an anti-art into an art form is what I chose to go for. ” – ENLEME
Check out the images below to see the prototype. We will be making 100 of these, 45 white, 45 black and 10 mystery custom ones by the artist. These will go for $15 each. Stay tuned for the release.
